Kaziranga Voice ("Application", "App", "we", "our") is dedicated to protecting the privacy of users who engage in advocacy activities to preserve Kaziranga National Park's Eco Sensitive Zone and protect indigenous lands. This policy applies to the Kaziranga Voice website and app at https://kazirangavoice.in.

2. Information We Collect

Our Application collects the following types of information:

Google Account Information: When you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your Google account email address, name, and profile photo. This is used solely for authentication and for displaying your signed-in identity inside Kaziranga Voice.
Google Gmail Permission: If you choose to send an advocacy email through Kaziranga Voice, we request Gmail send access only so the App can create and send the email that you approve. We do not use this permission to read, delete, or manage your inbox.
Email Content: We do not store the content of emails you send through our Application. However, we track that an email was sent for statistical purposes.
Offline Letter Photos: If you use the offline letter feature, photos you take of your letters are stored in our secure database to document your advocacy activity.
Mail Count Tracking: We maintain a count of emails and offline letters submitted through the Application to measure the collective impact of our advocacy campaign.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

To authenticate your identity and provide access to the Application
To send the advocacy email that you explicitly choose to send from your own Google account
To track the total number of advocacy messages sent to help measure campaign impact
To store proof of offline letter submission (via photo)
To improve the Application and user experience

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore with appropriate access controls. We implement security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

5. Email Sending

Emails sent through this Application are sent directly to the Director of Kaziranga National Park. We do not retain copies of your email content, and all communication happens directly between your Google account and Gmail.

6. Google API Data Use

Kaziranga Voice uses Google user data only to authenticate you and, if you choose, to send an advocacy email from your account. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to operate the App or as required by law.

7. Offline Letter Photo Storage

Photos of offline letters are stored to document your participation in the campaign. These photos are stored securely and are not shared with third parties without your consent.

8. Data Retention

We retain your email and offline letter records indefinitely to maintain an accurate historical record of advocacy efforts. Google account email is stored only while your account is active in the system.

9. Sharing with Third Parties

We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

As required by law or legal process
To Google for authentication services (limited to your email address)
The Director of Kaziranga National Park receives your email message as addressed

You have the right to:

Access your information stored in our system
Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
